Rotation: Inmates are limited to 8 visiting points per month. A weekday visit (special visits only, since the visiting room is closed Mon-Fri) costs 1 point; a Saturday/Sunday/holiday visit costs 2 points, except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's, which are free. Clergy and legal visits do not count against the monthly point allowance. In-processing pauses from 9:30-10:00 a.m. for the 10:00 a.m. count.

Points / frequency: Maximum 8 visiting points/month: weekday visit = 1 point, weekend/holiday visit = 2 points (Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year's free); clergy and legal visits are exempt.

Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No hoods, sleeveless shirts, low-cut or see-through clothing, tube/tank tops, shorts, or backless clothing
  • No jogging suits, open-toed shoes, orange clothing, camouflage (except active-duty military), or khaki
  • Skirts/dresses no more than 2 inches above the knee; no skin-tight clothing
  • No hats, non-prescription sunglasses, or watches of any kind in the Visiting Room

You may bring

  • Valid picture ID (driver's license, state photo ID, or passport)
  • Small clear plastic purse/bag no larger than 8"x8" for authorized items
  • One handkerchief, one comb, feminine hygiene items
  • Coins or up to $40 currency per adult visitor
  • For infants: 2 bottles with formula, 2 sealed jars of baby food, 1 change of outer garments, 3 diapers, 1 baby blanket, wipes (no diaper bag allowed - clear bag provided)

Not allowed

  • Cell phones, tobacco products, lighters
  • Diaper bags and large purses/wallets
  • Letters, notes, documents or photographs without prior written approval
  • Chewing gum, car keys inside the visiting area (secure in vehicle or lockers)
  • Non-essential medications (only essential ones like heart/respiratory meds allowed, checked in at officer's desk)

Good to know

ID requirements
All visitors must have valid picture ID (driver's license, state photo ID card, or passport); anyone 16 or older must be on the approved visiting list with a state ID on file.
Children
Children 16 and under are the responsibility of their parents/visitors and must stay with them; they may use the designated children's play area (inmates may enter only if supervising their own child there).
Vending machines
Inmates are restricted from the vending machine area; visitors may use vending machines and bring purchased items to the inmate to consume during the visit.
Money you may bring
Coins or up to $40.00 in currency per adult visitor, carried in a small clear plastic purse (max 8"x8"); billfolds/wallets not allowed. Money for the inmate's account cannot be left in person and must be mailed via the BOP Lock Box.
  • This is a medical center (USMCFP); visiting room is closed Monday-Friday except for special/bedside/hospital visits arranged through Unit Team
  • Visiting room capacity is 100; visitors may be asked to leave early to reduce overcrowding, with local visitors terminated first
  • Screening includes a walk-through metal detector; visitors unable to clear it will not be admitted
