Points / frequency: FMC inmates get 7 visiting points/month; a Sunday visit costs 3 points, a Monday visit costs 1 point; Federal Holiday, Attorney, Professional, Legal, and PVS visits cost 0 points; points don't carry over between months.

Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No sleeveless garments, tank tops, V-necks, or see-through clothing
  • No skin-tight clothing (including spandex); no wraparound skirts
  • No shorts (children only); capris must be knee-length
  • No jogging/sweat suits, camouflage, or khaki/tan clothing (like inmate attire)
  • No hats or caps (except for infants); no belly shirts, hip-hugger/spandex pants
  • No hospital scrubs/medical uniforms; no open-toed shoes, thongs, or sandals
  • Shirts must be tucked in; no sagging pants/jeans; skirts/dresses no shorter than 2 inches above the knee
  • No plain white T-shirts or shirts with vulgar/offensive wording or pictures; no excessive jewelry

You may bring

  • Valid state or government-issued photo ID
  • Clear plastic bag, no larger than 6"x6"x3"
  • Up to $20.00 in coins for vending machines
  • For infants: 2 clear empty baby bottles, 3 diapers, wipes in a clear container, 2 sealed/prepackaged baby food or formula, 1 set baby clothes, 1 receiving blanket
  • Life-maintenance medication (heart, epileptic, etc.), at the discretion of the Operations Lieutenant
  • Sweater/light jacket; a reasonable amount of feminine hygiene items

Not allowed

  • Handbags, sunglasses, reading material/photos
  • Cameras, video cameras, cell phones, smart watches, pagers
  • Food of any kind, including gum and candy (except for infants)
  • Pocketknives/nail clippers, strollers/carriages, lighters/matches/tobacco, umbrellas, makeup, charm bracelets, lockets, Fitbits, or watches

ID requirements
All visitors must provide valid picture identification (valid state or government-issued photo ID) before being admitted.
Children
All children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is on the inmate's approved visiting list, and must be supervised at all times.
Vending machines
Visitors may bring up to $20.00 in coins for the vending machines; no outside food is allowed, and all purchased food must be eaten before leaving the visiting room (at the FMC, items must be unwrapped and placed on paper plates).
