Visiting days depend on their housing unit

Social visiting is assigned by housing unit, and the unit/day pairing swaps between odd-numbered months and even-numbered months. Check Attachment A/TRULINCS, or ask the unit team, for the current pairing.

Before you book anything, ask your loved one which day and time they're assigned — by phone, email or letter — and confirm it with the facility. The calendar shows every possible visiting day at this facility, not necessarily theirs.

Rotation: Social visiting is assigned by housing unit — only one unit visits per time slot each day — and the unit/day pairing flips between odd-numbered months (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov) and even-numbered months (Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct, Dec); see Attachment A / TRULINCS for the current pairing. Tuesday and Wednesday mornings (8:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.) are legal visits only — no social visiting those mornings. Each inmate has a monthly visiting allowance of 4 points (8 points for 3rd-floor cadre inmates); a 3-hour visit costs 2 points and a 1.5-hour visit costs 1 point. Visitor processing starts 30 minutes before a weekday session (1 hour before on weekends/holidays) and stops 1 hour before the session ends; entry also pauses 30 minutes before the daily institutional counts (4:00 p.m. daily, plus 10:00 a.m. on weekends/holidays).

Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No shorts, sundresses, halter tops, or bathing suits
  • No see-through, crop, low-cut, backless, or form-fitting clothing (leotards, spandex)
  • No miniskirts, or skirts/dresses shorter than 1 inch above the knee
  • No khaki, yellow, orange, or camouflage-style clothing (resembles inmate wear)
  • No hats or caps
  • Closed-toe shoes only

You may bring

  • Valid photo ID (passport, driver's license, or state/federal ID)
  • Personal keys
  • Necessary medication (e.g., asthma inhaler, nitroglycerin), declared at the front desk and left with the visiting room officer
  • For infants: 1 pacifier, 2 diapers, 5 wipes, 1 clear see-through bottle with contents, and 1 receiving blanket — all inside a single one-gallon clear zip-lock bag (no diaper bags or purses allowed)

  • Cell phones, cameras, tape players/recorders, or pagers
  • Food, chewing gum, newspapers, magazines, or photo albums
  • Diaper bags or purses (only the one-gallon clear zip-lock bag is allowed)
  • Any item to give to or receive from the inmate — anything the inmate leaves with is treated as contraband

Good to know

ID requirements
All visitors 16 and older must present valid photo ID: passport, driver's license, or state/federal photo ID. Mexican consulate ID cards are not accepted.
Children
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and a child who will occupy a seat counts toward the 4-visitor limit. Children may watch TV in a supervised children's area (inmates are never allowed there) and may never be left unattended anywhere on institution grounds.
Vending machines

Money you may bring
Unclear/contradictory: the main policy body lists 'money' as an allowed visitor personal item, but the separate visitor-facing Visitor Regulations (Attachment I) — the one meant to be mailed to families — does not list money among the only two allowed items (ID and personal keys). Bring minimal or no cash and be prepared to leave it in a locker or vehicle.
  • Confirm your inmate's housing unit and check the odd/even-month schedule (Attachment A on TRULINCS) before you drive out — visiting time depends entirely on it
  • Weekend/holiday processing starts 1 hour before the session (vs. 30 minutes on weekdays) and pauses 30 minutes before the institutional count
  • Visitor processing stops 1 hour before the session ends, so don't arrive too late
  • A limited number of lockers are available for visitors' belongings, mainly for those without a car, first-come first-served
