Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No transparent clothing, or dresses/skirts above the knee
  • No halter tops, shorts, mini-skirts, culottes, or excessively tight clothing
  • No open-toed shoes or crocs
  • No ball caps, hats, bandanas, sweatbands, or 'do rags' (except religious/medical headgear)
  • No khaki, camouflage, or fluorescent orange clothing
  • No bare feet (except babies)

You may bring

  • Valid state or U.S. government photo ID (16 and older)
  • One clear plastic container/wallet (max 8x8 inches) with ID and up to $20 in coins for vending
  • For infants: 2 diapers, 1 unopened package of wipes, 1 change of clothing, 2 clear bottles with contents, 2 small unopened baby food jars, 1 receiving blanket, 1 clear cup, in a clear bag up to 12x16 inches

Not allowed

  • Cell phones, pagers, electronic devices, cameras, or recording equipment
  • Paper currency and debit/credit cards
  • Purses, coats/jackets not worn, food, or beverages
  • Vehicle keys/remotes (must be left with the Lobby Officer)
  • Tobacco (smoke-free institution)

ID requirements
Visitors 16 and older need valid state or U.S. government photo ID; children under 16 are exempt but must be on the approved visiting list.
Children
Children under 16 must be on the visiting list and accompanied by their approved parent/guardian; those 16-17 must also be on the list and accompanied by their approved parent/guardian. Up to 3 extra children under 10 are allowed beyond the 4-visitor cap if they don't occupy a seat.
Vending machines
Vending machines and microwaves are available for visitor use; food/drinks from outside are not allowed.
Money you may bring
Up to $20 in coins for vending, carried in a clear wallet/change purse (max 8x8x8 inches) along with ID only
