Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No hats, scarves, gloves, sunglasses, or watches
  • No open-toed shoes, see-through clothing, or tight/revealing clothing
  • No halter tops, sleeveless shirts, or hoodies
  • No athletic pants or jogging shorts (knee-length Bermuda shorts are allowed)
  • No skirts or dresses with slits or hemlines above the bend of the knee
  • No plain white T-shirt worn as the only shirt; female visitors must wear a bra
  • No khaki or grey clothing, gang/club symbols, or professional sports team apparel

You may bring

  • Valid photo ID for visitors 16+ (REAL ID-compliant state ID, passport with US visa/I-94, military ID, or Mexican Consulate ID/border crossing card)
  • One clear or see-through purse/bag, 8 inches or smaller
  • Debit or credit card for vending machines (cash is not accepted)
  • Small amount of prescription medication in its original container, for immediate life preservation (e.g., inhaler, nitroglycerin)
  • Limited infant items: pre-mixed formula/food, up to 2 bottles, 6 diapers, wipes, 1 change of clothes, 2 small blankets (max 2'x3')

Not allowed

  • Cell phones, pagers, or other electronic devices
  • Cash, checks, or money orders for the inmate's account
  • Watches, sunglasses, hats, gloves, or scarves
  • Strollers, baby carriers, packages, or gifts
  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, illegal drugs, or alcohol in vehicles

ID requirements
Visitors 16 and older must present valid state or government photo ID (REAL ID-compliant), a passport with a US visa stamp or I-94 form, a valid US military ID, or a Mexican Consulate ID/border crossing card. Visitors under 16 do not need photo ID. Financial/business, school, or college photo IDs are not accepted.
Children
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is also on the approved visiting list, and must be the son, daughter, brother, or sister of the visitor or inmate. Children 16 and older need their own valid photo ID and must be on the visiting list. A maximum of 4 people, including children under 16, may visit an inmate at one time.
Vending machines
Vending machines are available in the Visiting Room; debit or credit cards are the only accepted payment method (no cash).
Money you may bring
No cash accepted for the inmate's account or in general; vending machines only take debit/credit cards
  • Do not arrive at the parking lot before 8:00 a.m.; if dropped off, do not arrive before 8:15 a.m. (no waiting in the lobby)
  • Therapy and seeing-eye dogs with valid California certification are allowed; handlers may bring 4 clear dog-waste bags
  • Nursing mothers may use the legal cubicle area (FCI I), the video conference area if free (Camp South), or the area outside the children's play area (FCI II)
  • A limited number of lockers are available in the Front Lobby for visitors who arrived without a vehicle (cell phones and electronics cannot be stored in lockers)
