Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No tight, transparent, or spandex clothing (leggings, yoga pants)
  • No tank tops, halter tops, sleeveless shirts, or plunging necklines
  • No shorts (children only), hooded clothing, sweatpants/jogging suits, or wrap-around skirts
  • No khaki, camouflage, orange, or grey clothing (resembles inmate/staff uniforms)
  • No hats or caps except approved religious headgear
  • No open-toed shoes, sandals, flip-flops, or crocs
  • Skirts/dresses must touch the bottom of the knee while seated
  • No hospital scrubs, plain white t-shirts, or clothing with vulgar/offensive wording

You may bring

  • Valid state or government-issued photo ID (visitors 16 and older)
  • Up to $40 in coins/small bills plus one credit or debit card for vending machines
  • Limited infant items: 3 diapers, unopened wipes, change of clothes, 2 clear bottles with formula, 2 small unopened baby food jars, receiving blanket, clear cup, in a clear bag no larger than 12"x16"
  • One plain wedding band (no stone), prescription glasses, one religious medallion with chain, or approved religious headgear

Not allowed

  • Cell phones, cameras, and handbags/purses of any kind
  • Car keys and house keys (must be stored/locked in the vehicle before entering)
  • Packages, gifts, or money handed directly to inmates or visiting room staff
  • Strollers, hats/caps (except religious headgear), and watches
  • Any item not on the approved list; unapproved items must be stored before entry or the visitor is denied entrance

ID requirements
Visitors age 16 and older must provide valid picture identification (a valid state or government-issued photo ID) before being admitted into the institution.
Children
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is on the inmate's approved visiting list, and must be supervised at all times in the visiting room. All children, regardless of age, count toward the 5-visitor (FCI) or 6-visitor (SPC) limit. Shorts are allowed for children only, and disruptive behavior can lead to the visit being ended.
Vending machines
Visitors may bring up to $40 in coins/small bills plus one credit or debit card for the visiting room vending machines. No outside food is allowed, and purchased food must be eaten before leaving. At the FCI, vending items must be unwrapped and placed on a plate/napkin with the wrapper thrown away before being brought to the table.

  • The last visitors are processed 60 minutes before visiting hours end (around 2:15pm)
  • At the FCI, visitor processing pauses during institutional counts; wait until a clear count is announced before you'll be let in
  • There is no dedicated nursing area; nursing mothers are allowed to step out and return to the visiting room
  • Handicap parking is available in front of the main FCI/SPC entrance with a visible decal
