Points / frequency: Inmates have up to 16 visiting points per month; the Warden may limit visit length or frequency to prevent overcrowding.

Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No shorts, sleeveless shirts, tube tops, tank tops, or muscle shirts
  • No khaki-colored or orange clothing that resembles inmate uniforms (khaki at FCI, green at camp)
  • Dresses and skirts must reach the top of the knee; no miniskirts or see-through clothing
  • No open-toed shoes, flip-flops, sandals, slippers, or house shoes
  • No hats, hooded sweatshirts, sunglasses (unless prescribed), or doo-rags
  • Female visitors must wear a bra; no halter tops or sun dresses
  • No camouflage-patterned clothing
  • No wrist watches or electronic sports bands allowed in the visiting room

You may bring

  • Valid state or government-issued photo ID (required for all visitors 16 and older)
  • Clear plastic purse or bag no larger than 12" x 12" (no wallets)
  • Baby care items: bottles, formula/milk, sealed baby food, diapers, wipes, one change of clothes, one toy
  • Necessary prescription medication (kept at the officer's station)

Not allowed

  • Cell phones, cameras, and any electronic or recording devices
  • Tobacco products of any kind
  • Outside food or drinks (only vending machine food is allowed, no wallets/purses other than clear bag)
  • Pets, except certified service animals with documentation
  • Gifts, packages, or handing any item to the inmate

ID requirements
All visitors 16 and older must present a valid state or government-issued photo ID; visitors without one will not be allowed to visit.
Children
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+), and a parent or guardian must sign the Visitor Information Form; those age 16 and under are not required to show ID. A supervised children's area with toys and movies is available.
Vending machines
Vending machines are available in the visiting room. Visitors may buy snacks to share, but inmates may never handle money.
  • Processing of visitors ends at 2:00 p.m. even though visiting continues until 3:00 p.m.
  • No visitors are processed for 30 minutes before the 10:00 a.m. institutional count on weekends/holidays
  • Lock unauthorized items (phones, tobacco, extra bags) in your car before entering
  • Visitors must leave institution grounds immediately once the visit ends; no waiting in the parking lot
